Seeker Intensive Ministry

October 27, 2008 categories:  Christian Articles

I am intrigued by the changes taking place in our vocabulary that are necessary to articulate the ever-expanding breakthroughs in technology that ultimately lead to changes in the way we live.

Lately, I have been provoked by some things that I have heard and seen concerning how things are being done in the Christian Church. With that I want to advocate a new term, “seeker intensive.” A give-it-all-you-got, worship with all your heart, dance, sing, praise, shout it out, fall on your face, love God loud, offend the devil and all other religious spirits, passionate, expressive time of corporate worship!

“With my whole heart have I sought You, inquiring for and of You and yearning for You…” (Psalm 119:10)

It is overdue for us to discard the whole “seeker sensitive” model and get back to what is most important. Who are we trying to please anyway, God or the masses? Whose presence would we rather have? What good is a room full of people with no anointing, no conviction, no presence, no awe, and no fear of the Lord?

Jesus said the He would build His Church. After Pentecost, it says that God added daily to the church those that should be saved. Let’s get God’s presence there and let Him do the work!

People who are searching for God are out there but they are turned off by our lack of faith, wimpy expression, and powerlessness to deliver them from the darkness they are bound with. It’s time for a breakthrough! I’m advocating to all “seekers of God” to turn up the intensity of worship and praise and let’s watch as God presence ministers to people who are looking for Him.

Wow…somebody is provoked! Sounds nice. Does that mean we can finally plan a service for the sole purpose of prophetic worship, crying out to God, and being “Seeker-intensive?” If so, sign me up.

I especially like the part about being loud.
